About the QR Code Generator

QR codes are everywhere — on restaurant menus, business cards, event tickets, WiFi posters and product packaging. Our QR code generator builds high-resolution QR codes for URLs, plain text, email addresses, phone numbers, SMS messages and WiFi credentials. The image is generated entirely in your browser and downloads as a transparent PNG — no watermark, no signup, no expiring premium links.

How to use it

  1. Choose the content type: URL, text, email, phone, SMS, or WiFi.
  2. Enter your content — a URL, message, phone number, or WiFi credentials.
  3. Adjust the QR code size and error correction level if needed.
  4. Click Generate to create your QR code instantly in your browser.
  5. Download the QR code as a transparent PNG image.

Formula & methodology

QR codes use Reed-Solomon error correction. Four levels available: L (7% recovery), M (15%), Q (25%), H (30%). Higher error correction means the code can be scanned even when partially damaged or obscured.

Common use cases

  • Creating contactless menus or digital signage for restaurants and cafes
  • Adding QR codes to business cards for instant contact sharing
  • Generating WiFi QR codes for guest network access in offices
  • Building QR code ticket systems for events and conferences
  • Embedding QR codes in product packaging for documentation links

Frequently asked questions

No — unlike many online QR generators, our codes are static QR codes that encode the data directly into the image. They never expire and have no tracking, no server dependency, and no premium upgrade. The QR code you download today will work indefinitely.
Error correction allows a QR code to be scanned even if part of it is damaged, dirty, or obscured. Level L recovers 7% of data, M recovers 15%, Q recovers 25%, and H recovers 30%. Higher correction means a denser code but better reliability. We recommend level M for most uses.
Yes, most smartphone cameras can scan QR codes displayed on screens, printed on paper, or shown in screenshots. Just open your camera app and point it at the code. No special app needed on modern iPhones and Android devices.
